Institutional Capacity & Data Readiness Assessment
About this Project
Global Capacity Lab was commissioned to conduct an institutional capacity and data readiness assessment for a development-focused organisation seeking to strengthen its use of information for planning, monitoring, and performance management.
The research examined existing data practices, staff capabilities, information flows, reporting processes, and decision-making requirements. GCL combined document review, stakeholder consultations, and structured diagnostic analysis to identify operational strengths, capacity gaps, and priority areas for improvement.
The resulting recommendations were designed to support a practical improvement roadmap covering data governance, staff development, reporting quality, analytical capability, and the integration of evidence into management decisions. The project illustrates GCL’s ability to deliver commissioned research that connects organisational diagnosis with realistic institutional strengthening measures.
